New and Improved Padholdr In Dash kits
Over the past few weeks we have been working on a fix for our Padholdr in-dash vibration issues some people were experiencing. After much research we came up with an Rubberized foam part that attaches to the backside of the Padholdr.
Until now, the Padholdr was mounted to the dash, and included a small rubber bump on that was supposed to be stuck to the backside of the Padholdr, and the Padholdr sat against the dash with the bump on preventing vibration or rattling while driving. The bump on was a fix, however there were some design flaws with using a bump on, and we knew we had to come up with another solution. We spent a couple months working on a design that would allow the Padholdr to rest against the dash, and prevent any kind of vibration while driving, also making sure what we used was durable, and wouldn't remove after long periods of time. After trying different types of foam material, we decided on a rubberized foam that will not only prevent the Padholdr from scratching the dash, but it also prevents the Padholdr from moving. After we found the right material we had a high strength adhesive back installed so we didn't run into any issues with the foam coming off the Padholdr in high heat. Finally, we took the foam to a waterjet machine and had each piece cut out precisely to fit the Padholdr shape. After much trial and error we came up with the perfect solution.
Now, with the Padholdr installed and the foam back attached, you can drive through any terrain without having movement of your Padholdr.
